On November 03-04, 2022, the Republican Central Securities Depository took part in the XVIII International Conference of the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD): “Withstanding market fluctuations: challenges and solutions” and AECSD Annual General Meeting.
The events held in Yerevan (Republic of Armenia) were organized by the AECSD Secretariat and the Armenia Securities Exchange (AMX) represented by the Central Depository of Armenia OJSC.
The conference was attended by representatives of the central depositories of Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, as well as the stock exchanges of Armenia and Tajikistan, the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS), AECSD observers from among major international organizations, operating in the financial market - Euroclear, Clearstream, Specialized Depository INFINITUM JSC, ROSBANK PJSC, Bank of Georgia JSC, professional participants in the financial market of Armenia.
During the conference, in the round table format, topical issues of the activities of central depositories and financial market infrastructures were discussed: best practices and areas of activity, regulations and standards of services provided.
For reference. The Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD) unites 15 Central Securities Depositories from 14 Eurasian countries. AECSD provides the central depositories of the participating countries with a platform for the exchange of views and proposals on the development of depository activities, on the entry of AECSD members into the global financial system.
