On 26 June, 1995 the Executive Committee of the Soviet District of the Council of People's Deputies of Minsk registered Closed Joint Stock Company "Republican Central Securities Depository" (short name - CJSC "RCSD", hereinafter CJSC "RCSD") (registration number 5016). JSC "RCSD" was founded in accordance with the Laws of the Republic of Belarus "On Joint Stock Companies, Limited Liability Companies and Companies with Additional Liability", "On Securities and Stock Exchanges" and the joint Resolution of the Council of Ministers and the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus № 30 / 2 of 18 January, 1995 "On Foundation of the Republican Central Securities Depository".
The founders and, subsequently, the members (shareholders) of JSC "RCSD" were the Ministry of State Property and Privatization of the Republic of Belarus, the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian Stock Exchange, the Interbank Currency Exchange and eight commercial banks.
In accordance with the Decree of the President № 366 of July 20, 1998 "On Improvement of the Governmental Securities Market Regulation System", CJSC "RCSD" was reformed into a State-Owned Enterprise "Republican Central Securities Depository".
The State Enterprise "Republican Central Securities Depository" (short name - SE "Republican Central Securities Depository"), a successor of the CJSC "RCSD", was registered by the executive committee of the Central Administration of Minsk on September 08, 1998 № 138 in the register for the state registration receiving №1561/1.
By the Decision of the Minsk city executive committee № 931 of August 18, 2000, the Unitary Enterprise "Republican Central Securities Depository" (short name - UE "The Republican Central Securities Depository") was registered in the Unified State Register of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs receiving № 100 967 318.
The government authority of the Unitary Enterprise was the State Securities Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
By the Decision of the Minsk city executive committee of March 06, 2003 № 316 there was registered the new edition of the statute containing the new full and ab/peviated name: Republican Unitary Enterprise "Republican Central Securities Depository" and RUE "RCSD", respectively.
The government authority of the Unitary Enterprise was the Securities Committee of the Council of Ministers.
The current statute of RUE "RCSD" was registered in the new edition by the Minsk city executive committee of November 22, 2007, № 2720. RUE "RCSD" is a commercial organization not authorized with the ownership of fixed owner’s property. The property transferred to Unitary Enterprises in economic management belongs to the Republic of Belarus. RUE "RCSD" is subordinate to the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus. The Securities Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus regulates and supervises the activities of RUE "RCSD" within the limits established by the legislation.
