The Central Securities Depository takes part in an international conference

     On October 27 - 29, 2021, the Republican Central Securities Depository took part in the 17th International Conference of the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD) and AECSD Annual General Meeting.
     The conference was attended by representatives of central depositories of Armenia, Belarus, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, South Korea, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, as well as stock exchanges of Armenia, Kazakhstan, Russia, representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the largest international organizations operating in the financial market - Euroclear, Clearstream, SWIFT, ACG, FEAS, ConsensusSouthAfrica, professional financial market participants.
     Such issues as the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on depository activities and the financial market, diversification and digitalization of depository services, financial assets and services, regulation and integration of financial markets, comprising that in the format of the Eurasian Economic Union, were highlighted and discussed. At the conference the Central Securities Depository of Belarus delivereded the reports and presentations on depository and information services, including the prospects for their development.
     At AECSD Annual General Meeting, the results and prospects of AECSD's activities, planned events, and the activities of AECSD Working Groups were considered. Heads of central depositories - members of AECSD, among them Andrey Aksyonov, Director of the Belarusian Central Securities Depository, delivered reports and presentations on the CSDs` activities, the parameters addressed to over the past two years, and prospective tasks that the central depositories face.

     For reference. The Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD) unites 16 Central Securities Depositories from 15 Eurasian countries. AECSD provides the central depositories of the participating countries with a platform for the exchange of views and proposals on the development of depository activities, on the entry of AECSD members into the global financial system.
