On 8-9 September 2016 in Tbilisi (Georgia), Director of RUE “RCSD” Valentina Timoshenko took part in the XIII International Conference of the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD) “Strengthening and Stabilizing CSD Operations during Global Economic Turbulence” and the Annual General Meeting of the AECSD members. The conference was organized by the Georgian Central Securities Depository.
The conference brought together representatives from central depositories-AECSD members, and the central depositories of South Korea and Tajikistan, as well as Euroclear Bank, Clearstream Banking S.A., SWIFT and Thomas Murray Data Services.
In the course of the Annual General Meeting, new members – CSD of Tajikistan (CJSC “Central Securities Depository of the Republic of Tajikistan”) and CSD of South Korea (Korea Securities Depository) – joined the Association. In addition, Euroclear Bank was granted observer status.
As a result of the Annual General Meeting, XIV International Conference of the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories will be held in 2017 in Belarus, Minsk. The conference will be organized by RUE “RCSD”. Director of RUE “RCSD” Valentina Timoshenko was elected as AECSD Board Chair.
