June 15, 2016 on the basis of the custody agreement, Central
Depository of Armenia has opened
foreign securities nominee account in the name of RUE “RCSD”.
According to the agreement, the Central
Depository of Armenia will maintain the foreign securities nominee account, what gives a possibility to the customers of the RUE “RCSD” to
carry out settlement on the transactions and hold the securities of Armenian
issuers, using an account in the Central Depository of Armenia.
As for today, the Central Depository of Armenia
already has an account opened in the RUE “RCSD”. The bilateral link between two
depositories will expand the range of services provided by the Central
Depositories of Armenia and Belarus, and will facilitate the development of
cross-border securities transactions in the economic area of the EAEU.
