Central Securities Depositories of Belarus and Kazakhstan signed an agreement on the establishment of correspondent relations

On October 28, 2015 RUE “The Republican Central Securities Depository” (Republic of Belarus) (RUE “RCSD”) signed an agreement on the establishment of correspondent relations with the JSC Central Securities Depository (Republic of Kazakhstan) (JSC KACD).

Director of RUE “RCSD” Valentina Timoshenko mentioned: “Signing of the contract - is one more step to further expansion of cooperation between central securities depositories of our countries. We aspire to further integration of the stock markets of Kazakhstan and Belarus. On the basis of this agreement RUE “RCSD” will be able to carry out the fixation and storage of information about the total amount of Belarusian issuer’s securities, accounting the rights to which will be provided by JSC KACD.”

RUE “RCSD” was established in 1995.

The regulatory body of the Central

Depository - The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus.

The main functions of RUE “RCSD” are:

- acceptance of securities for centralized custody;

- depository activity;

- maintenance of correspondent nominee accounts of depositories;

-maintenance of directories and catalogs of the depository system;

-ensuring of securities transactions settlement;

- allocating the international identification codes to the securities.

JSC Central Securities Depository (Republic of Kazakhstan) (KACD) was established in 1997.

KACD's licensing and regulating agency is the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

KACD is the only organization in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan which is carrying our depository activity.

The main functions of the KACD are:

- Nominal holding of securities;- Opening and maintaining bank accounts;- Allocating the international identification numbers for securities;

- Payment Agent’s Services.
